Project Rive in the News

Project Rive was recently featured in the Oyster Pointer: turn to page 3 here to read all about it. It’s great to be able to raise awareness and reach out to local community groups for support.

Students at Randolph-Macon college recently made their own contribution to learning in Haiti. Jennifer Shotwell’s elementary French class wrote and illustrated children’s books in French for us. French children’s books can be hard to find; harder still if you want something open-source. I’m looking forward to loading them onto Internet-in-a-Box so kids across Haiti can access them electronically.

In two weeks, I’ll be off again to spend the summer in Haiti. Expect lots more posts soon about the process of preparing.
